How buyers find you
Four Ways Into Every Listing.
Surplus Inventory puts your dead stock in front of the buyers already searching for it — you keep the full margin, and you keep the customer.
Four ways to find a part.
Not every buyer searches the same way, so we built four ways in. Most know exactly what they need and type in a manufacturer and part number. Some don't have a part number at all and browse by category. Some run a full-text search that looks across descriptions, notes, and alternate numbers, finding your part even when their terms don't match its official name. And some search by UPC. List a part once, and all four work automatically. Read more.
Add the barcode, get found.
The UPC field is optional and it's just one line — whatever number is printed on the box. But it makes your part findable by barcode, so a buyer scanning a unit on the shelf or pasting the code off the packaging lands on your listing even when they don't know the manufacturer. It also goes into the structured product data behind each listing as a proper GTIN, and Google treats products with a valid barcode as higher-quality matches. Our spreadsheet upload recognizes columns named upc, barcode, gtin, or ean, so a bulk import maps itself. Read more.
